PROJECT UPDATE:
Help Shape the Future of Auburn Abroad in Italy
Thanks to the generosity of Auburn alumni, families, and friends, Phase I improvements are already enhancing the student experience inside the historic Chigi Palace in Ariccia, Italy.
These renovations are helping us welcome more students, improve daily life and learning spaces, and preserve this extraordinary global classroom for future generations.
What Your Support Has Already Made Possible

- Installed custom sound mitigation panels created through a collaborative Auburn Interior Design research project
- Created dedicated office space for Auburn’s Italy team
- Added a private student phone booth for Zoom calls, interviews, and advising meetings
- Improved ventilation throughout residential areas
- Updated security and fire safety systems
Looking Ahead to Phase II
- Expanded studio and collaboration space
- A tasting kitchen for immersive cultural learning
- Additional student study areas
- Meeting and gathering spaces
- Outdoor green space enhancements
Together, these improvements will help more Auburn students experience the personal growth, cultural immersion, and global perspective that make Auburn Abroad in Italy transformative.
Every improvement inside Chigi Palace creates new opportunities for Auburn students to live, learn, and grow as global citizens.
